Marfran, which has been active for many years in the formulation of compounds specifically for drinking water contact applications, has recently launched the new MARFRAN E KPW family in accordance with the new and more stringent requirements of the third amendment of the German KTW-BWGL standard, which will come into force during 2025.
Maintaining the same processability characteristics as our standard grades, both for extrusion and moulding, as well as high transparency and mechanical properties, the new MARFRAN E KPW family guarantees the absence of plasticisers in a hardness range of 50 to 95 ShA.
The new family is suitable for a wide range of applications, such as the extrusion of pipes for transporting fluids in the food, sanitary and household appliance sectors, as well as the moulding of dispensers, gaskets and fittings where compliance with the strictest drinking water regulations is required.
MARFRAN E KPW thus joins the MARFRAN E DRW HOF and MARFRAN E DRW HC product families, US NSF and UK WRAS certified drinking water contact materials, already in the company’s portfolio.
